AirtelTigo CEO joins MTN
Former AirtelTigo CEO Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi has joined MTN Rwanda.
This news comes just a week after the CEO vacated her post at AirtelTigo Ghana on Friday 13 September 2019.
Mitwa joins the company as CEO of MTN Rwanda.
In an article by BiztechAfrica, MTN officially announced appointment on Tuesday, describing her as a seasoned leader, with a strong background in commercial and technology.
She is also said to have the unique experience of leading mergers and acquisitions in the telecom industry.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed CEO previously held the role of Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Benin and several other roles at MTN Zambia.
Mrs. Kaemba Ng’ambi is the second CEO to resign from AirtelTigo in less than 3 years. She succeeded Roshi Motman who resigned after Airtel and Tigo merged in 2017.
Aside her past positions at MTN, Mitwa also served as CEO of Tigo Senegal.
She holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Joensuu, Finland and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Namibia.
